I tried to take class note on Freeform. After writing a first few chapters, the screen is getting laggy when using Apple Pencil. It only happens in Freeform. Anyone experiences the same lagging issue ?

It's not as simple as you said. When a white board gets populated with lots of words written from Apple Pencil, it tends to get lagging. I switch to another white board with less populated words and gets smooth as butter. I believe Freeform is meant to use to cooperate & brain storm ideas with other people not for personal long class notes, but what if when brainstorming ideas with lots of writing from Apple Pencil, it would still lag any way. So basically infinite canvas with limited content ?

- Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) lagging with prolonged use.Hello, why does the Apple Pencil lag if I use it for a while?I use my Apple Pencil primarily in the notes app, well ... taking notes and I always find that if I am taking lecture notes it the pencil will start to produce very noticeable input delays after using it for about 20 minutes or so; so about two pages of notes taken. I am using a 5th iPad Air and 2nd gen Apple Pencil. What confuses me most is that when the lag is large I will open another notes tab and sure enough, there is zero noticeable lag. swapping to another notes tab stops the issue. This is what confuses me, why is the notes app poorly optimised for Apple Pencil? I have not used any other app with note taking functionality so I have not been able to witness this being an issue for other applications. 126562
- Pencil tools disappearing in the file appThe pencil tools that allows you to write on pdfs in the file app disappears when I change file, and to get it back i have to close the file app and open it again, however it doesn't always work. The apple pencil is connected the whole time, and works with no problem on other apps such as the notes app or the OneNote app. I'm uploading screens that show the icon missing. How can I fix it? 11651
- using scribble with Notes app is too unpredictable.Has anybody figured out or found a reliable way to use scribble or the Apple pencil?1) in the notes app the Apple Pencil randomly decides to start a new paragraph in the middle of a sentence. And there is no way to bring the cursor back to a previous line without opening the keyboard. 2) there is no way to start a new line, while writing this post.3) placing the cursor in a specific location, is no guarantee scribble will continue from that specific location. 4972

I also had the same issue. It seems like it has to do with the low-power mode setting being turned on. It seems like the more populated the canvas is more processing power you need. Try turning off the low power mode and it should be smooth and lag-free again.
